Design Concept

The interior design of Lotus Handicraft is inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Nepal, blending traditional craftsmanship with a clean, organized retail experience. The concept focuses on celebrating handmade products while creating a warm, inviting space that allows each artifact to stand out naturally.

The shop layout is designed as a gallery-style retail space, where products are not just displayed but experienced. Symmetry, natural materials, and warm lighting play a key role in enhancing the authenticity of the handicrafts

Design & Spatial Planning

The store follows a linear and symmetrical layout, guiding customers smoothly from the entrance toward the main display wall featuring the brand identity of Lotus Handicraft. Floor-to-ceiling wooden shelving on both sides maximizes display capacity while maintaining visual balance and clarity.

Each shelf is proportioned carefully to accommodate different product categories such as pottery, metal crafts, statues, and traditional items—ensuring easy browsing and visual order.

Material & Color Palette

• Primary Material: Natural wood finish shelving
• Accents: Dark wood trims for contrast and depth
• Flooring: Light-colored polished tiles to reflect light and keep the space bright
• Color Tone: Warm earthy hues that complement handcrafted products

The extensive use of wood reinforces a natural and organic feel, aligning perfectly with the handcrafted nature of the products.

Lighting Design

Soft spot and track lighting is used to highlight products without overpowering them. Focused lighting enhances textures, patterns, and details of the handicrafts, while ambient ceiling lights ensure overall brightness and comfort.
